After crafting for two hours, the kids took a break to watch Robots.
Then we played tea party for at least 3 hours on and off. Even the littlest Fraser got in on the action!
Then I remembered a friend posting on Facebook that she made snow ice cream. Clearly, we had to try this. So...
We put bowls outside and waiting 4 hours for them to fill up. Then...
We made it.
8 cups of snow
1/2 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
enough milk to get desired consistency
Then...
We ate it! I said we because of course I had to taste one spoonful. I mean, hello. It's ice cream(insert pause) made of snow. Austin thought it was the coolest thing ever. He just kept on repeating, "this is awesome." He must have said it ten times. No joke.
Eating today was a challenge for me, because as stated above, I did not have many Paleo friendly options left in the house. However, I did manage to scrounge up three meals while sticking to the Paleo guidelines.
Breakfast: I finally ate the leftover egg muffins, and they were just as good warmed up in the microwave as they were fresh out of the oven. I also had two cups of coffee.
Lunch: This was rough. I stood in my kitchen for at least 20 minutes trying to figure out what to eat. I ended up making a smoothie(spinach, triple berry, banana and chocolate almond milk) and eating an apple.
Dinner: I had tuna fish with relish and hard boiled egg with less than a teaspoon of mayo mixed in just to make it wet. I also made a small batch of Alexia all natural straight cut fries. This is one of the biggest treats I allow myself. With less than five ingredients it totally falls into the Paleo 10% cheat category. I would have rather not had these tonight due to the cannoli fiasco last night, but considering I had nothing in the house I wasn't left with much of a choice unless I wanted to starve and end up binging on chocolate all night.
Snacks: A bite of snow ice cream and a square of sea salt chocolate.
I am going to guess there will not be any weight loss for me come Monday due to these last few days, but oh well life happens. My goal is to grocery shop tomorrow and get back on track with 100% clean eating. Tonight will be spent doing laundry, menu planning and making a grocery list. I know you're so jealous of my crazy Saturday night!!
XOXO
